Gayet Wernicke’s encephalopathy: An exceptional complication of primary hyperparathyroidism

Introduction: Gayet Wernicke’s encephalopathy (GWE) is a severe encephalopathy secondary to acute thiamine (vitamin B1) deficiency which may lead to severe sequelae or death if the diagnosis is delayed.
